Located just two blocks south of its sister high rise building One Light Tower, Two Light Tower is a 24-story, 296-unit luxury apartment building located in the Power Light District of Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The high-rise building features 18 floors of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and penthouse apartment units, a seven-story parking garage with 499 spaces, and 3,100 square feet of retail space on the first floor. The building also includes lavish amenities such as outdoor deck featuring an infinity edge pool, grilling stations, cabanas, an indoor/outdoor bar and a belvedere floating sundeck overlooking 14th street; an indoor heated pool and spa; a kitchen indoor/outdoor private event room, club room, quiet lounge, fitness center, and conference room.

 

What We Did: 

Taliaferro & Browne provided civil engineering, land survey, and special inspection services for the project. Civil Engineering services included site grading, streetscape design, utility design and ADA access analysis. Survey services included performing a topographic survey of the site and platting. Special Inspection services included inspecting the placement of reinforcing steel and concrete, the inspection of bolts in reinforced concrete, the inspection of high strength bolting, structural welding, and steel framing, as well as the inspection of structural masonry, post-installed anchors, architectural components, and post tensioning systems.
